Schedule for the Week of December 6 to 10

Alright, we're almost to the break. Just a week and change left before we get two blissful weeks of winter wonderment.
But that's still a week and change that we have to work.

Monday: I am going to finish that lecture on Aristotle that I started last week, we're going to talk about "virtue ethics"' vs "relative ethics," and I will remind you about your Rough drafts being due on Tuesday.

Tuesday: Rough Drafts are due (remember that you don't have to have it absolutely perfect, but you at least need to have a narrative illustration of your arguments from your outline). We will also be doing both Peer Editing (editing chiefly for mechanics, spelling, grammar, and the style and "flow" of the paper) AND Peer Review (this is more like a book review where you make a judgement of the quality of the arguments and the evidence presented for those arguments, then explain how the paper can be improved). We'll also have a "share-out" session where you will be telling all of us about your argument "strategy" (more on this later).

Wednesday: Today we'll be talking about happiness, Buddhism and you'll have some time to work on your final draft.

Thursday: We'll have a COW and you'll work on your final drafts

Friday: We'll have a COW and you'll work on your rough drafts

Remember that your final draft is your final exam and counts for twenty percent of your semester grade, and it will be due the FIRST day of your final exam period. The second day of your final we'll have a little party with snacks and board games and I'll give you my quasi-famous "life lessons" lecture.

Have a nice Sunday night and remember that I am super proud of all of you and wish that I could have you all year instead of just one semester. It makes me want to cry :(
